Fishery Basic Rules:
Resident anglers only may fish Indio Pond
Anglers may fish day and/or night.
Barbed hooks are banned, and anglers are not permitted to use them at any time whatsoever - all anglers must use barbless hooks only at all times. The pinching down of barbed books is NOT acceptable.
Bolt Rigs are banned. All rigs must have that are free running and accordingly backstops preventing weights from running free are not permitted and weights over 1 oz are not allowed.
Fish sacking (day or night) is not permitted. The use of Keep nets is not permitted unless Indio specifically requests that anglers remove smaller fish (Rudd & Perch). Anglers are however asked to sack or net certain fish for various reasons from time to time. It is also requested that sickly fish, or injured fish are netted for inspection by Indio - cooperation in this respect is much appreciated as the welfare of the fish is paramount.
Unhooking mats are compulsory
The use of all nut baits such as tiger nuts or peanuts as feed or hook bait is banned and heavy prebaiting is not permitted
Shelf life boilies are now banned. We recommend you use high quality fresh made mixes such as our own, or make your own.
The use of more than 2 rods at any one time per angler is not permitted
At no time must rods be left unattended once baited and cast in.
Indio reserves the right to alter or amend and/or introduce new rules at anytime when and if applicable which it deems necessary and which it considers beneficial for the fishery the fish and the visitors
All rules must be adhered to at all times without exception.
All rubbish, in particular fish line, tins and cigarette ends must he disposed of in refuse bags or rubbish bins that are readily available from Indio.
In the case of 'break offs' that leave trails of line in the water anglers are requested to inform Indio so it can be recovered or removed.
All bait left unattended on the bank must be properly covered and sealed at all times.No fires. No radios. Anglers contravening these rules become liable to be banned from fishing with no redress or refund

A stay at Indio Pond in one of our lovely lakeside Angler's Lodges - just a few yards from the bankside - is probably as near to a fisherman's paradise as you can imagine or are likely to find anywhere. Set in 9 acres of beautiful Devon countryside, the 2.5 acres of Indio Pond and prolific stockpond is bordered by its lovely wooded surroundings with views of the Dartmoor slopes beyond, affording visitors the feeling of complete privacy - yet within walking distance of the vibrant local town of Bovey Tracey. Indio Pond has a truly magnificent and idyllic setting - it's a wildlife haven and it's exclusively for residents only. You can fish day and night - there is no closed season - it's completely private and it's never over-fished. With a maximum of only twelve anglers fishing at any one time, it is perfect for anglers of all abilities.

Directions:
Go south to the end of the M5. Continue along the A38 past Exeter, following the signs for A38 Plymouth. About 8 miles further on take the slip road on your left sign-posted to Bovey Tracey A382 and turn onto the A382. (fourth exit). Go to the next roundabout (about a mile) and take the third exit which is Newton Road. The entrance to Indio Pond is approximately 300 yards on your right.
